The Leader.. Part-2 (Moses in The Scriptures)

Praise be to God, the God of Gods who gives us "every day" as a gift out of His love.

Dear friends,

I learned a lot about Moses from the first article. I believe, you also read about the greatness of Moses in history and praised God. If it is so great about Moses in history, then, if you look at the Bible, we will clearly understand how did the life of that leader begin, and what is his strength? what the weakness is. A lot of respect has grown on him now.

We have heard many things from the Bible about Moses since childhood, but let's take a look at it once again. Because his whole life is a struggle. But he kept winning every time. There was no looking back until the moment of death.

We are also in a struggle now. We are afraid of losing anywhere and stopping. Let's see if he can help us this time. Let's Ask him and know who he walked with the help of...whom he looked up to and survived, then we too will follow him.

1. Leader... (Moses in History) Part -1

2. Leader.. (Moses in Scripture) Part-2

3. Leader.. (Traveller who does not reach the destination) Part-3

The Bible mentions Moses in 786 verses in 31 books. Let's carefully find out the things we need in it.

In the first topic, we studied what is thought about Moses in other religious texts as well as in history. But what our standard book Bible says is very important to us. Moses appears as a very special person in the Bible. Because God spoke to Moses more than anyone else.

First, let's see how Moses is addressed in the Bible.

1. Moses - First Pharaoh's daughter named him Moses because he drank from the water.

2. Mediator - Exodus 24:3

3. Pharaoh's God - He was appointed as God by God to Phoroah. Exodus 7:1

4. My servant Moses - who received the testimony from the hand of God. Numbers 12:6 - Addressing God

5. The Law of Moses - The Law itself was given a name - the Law of Moses.

6. The meekest - The meekest of all on earth - God's testimony Numbers 12:3

7. The Leader - A leader who led a nation of more than six lakhs.

8. Priest of God- Psalm 99:6

9. God's appointed man - Psalm 106:23

10. He who declares God's judgment to the people - Exodus 18:15

11. He is Faithful in all -  God's Testimony Numbers.12:7

The fact that Moses is called in the Bible in all these ways, especially as God Himself testifies about him, means that Moses must have had very special qualities. Let's take a look at it and learn.

  • Recognized: Moses was growing up in a royal family. There is a chance to experience all the pleasures. But he realized why he and his people had to be here. The first time when God called Moses...Moses recognized his voice and said, "Lord of the Lord here I am" Exodus 3:4. After he spoke he realized his duty... and he was ready.

  • He led: not one.. not two people but over six lakhs. Not one day two days but 40 years together. Did he lead with his voice or with solemn eloquence? No.. even though he has oral retardation and tongue retardation, he walked... he led.

  • Took the blame:

No matter how many miracles God performed for the nation of Israel, they somehow spoke impatiently of Moses who led them, and God who freed them from slavery. He didn't ask even once that Even though I was insulted so many times, God, why did you entrust me with this work... Why did I have to suffer in this wilderness for 40 years for the sin they committed?

In that wilderness, the whole community of Israel gathered around Moses and Aaron.  Exo.16:2

Why did the people complain about Moses because there was no water? They have brought us here from Egypt to kill us, our children, and our livestock. Exo.17:3

The next day the whole community of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron, saying, "You have killed the people of Jehovah" Numbers 16:41

  • Moses is Faithful: Jehovah's Witness

It is said that Whenever God appeared and entrusted a task to him, he fulfilled every task without fail. If our Lord Himself testifies that, then what is there to doubt about it?

He is faithful in all my ways. Numbers 12:7

Of all that Jehovah commanded Moses, he did not fail to do one thing. Joshua 11:15

For we have a high priest over the house of God, Hebrews 10:21

As a witness of the things that will be told before, Moses was a minister and was faithful in God's house. Hebrews 3:2-5

  • Interrupted:

Enduring even when people are down on him, Every time Whenever God gets angry and wants to destroy them, Moses used to beg God to save people. He used to go into his presence and talk to him like a friend so as to calm his anger.

Then he said, I will destroy them. But Moses, whom He had appointed to appease His anger, so that He would not destroy them, stood and hindered His presence. Psalm 106:23

And Moses besought the LORD his God, and said, LORD, why doth thy wrath wax hot against thy people, which thou hast brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power, and with a mighty hand? 32:11

Do you know what honor God gave to Moses for recognizing Him when He called, following Him, obeying Him, and fulfilling all His purposes.....

I will speak to him plainly from my heart, and give him a chance to see me, said the Lord.

Exodus 12:8 I will speak with him face to face, not with my senses; He shall gaze upon the form of Jehovah.

Exo. 33:9 When Moses went into the tent, the pillar of cloud came down and stood at the door of the tent, and the Lord spoke to Moses.

Jehovah spoke to Moses face to face as a man speaks to his friend. Later he was returning to the camp. 33:11

2. He had the privilege of being in the presence of the Lord on Mount Sinai and listening to His words to introduce a great law to the people.

3. When the Lord Jesus came to earth as the Son of Man... along with Elijah, Moses also came and had the opportunity to talk with him for a while. "Moses and Elijah appeared to them and talked with Jesus. Mark 9:4"

Beloved in Christ,

Doesn't it prove that this is the meaning of the saying that the faithful will receive many blessings! What a great blessing. Moses taught many things. He is seen as a guide not only for the people of Israel but also for us now.

Even our journey is now very difficult. Just as God appeared and spoke to Moses when he walked toward the mountain of God at this time, He speaks to us as we step toward the Word.

There is no change in our Father. He was of the same mind then and now. He is with us as He was with Moses. When Moses raised his staff, the vast waters moved aside. Many miracles have happened. Wars stopped when hands were raised. Today every day in our life is a miracle... The Lord is great... Our Lord is able to change all situations for us no matter what the situation is when we lift up our hearts with faith in the Lord like Moses.

Salutations to the Supreme God who is always the same yesterday and today.

I will meet again as I meditate on some more things about Moses' journey of faith.

Lord be with us. Amen!

The Leader.. Part-1 (Moses in The History)

  Dear Friends in Christ,

I greet you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We have meditated on many things about the creation of our Almighty God, by praising the Lord, remembering all of them again and thinking about a new topic, if a common man obeys the Creator who made all this creation.... that experience if we talk to him face to face,.... that I felt like meditating on what life would be like!!

Immediately the memory of the little baby who was found in the ark of Bulrushes came to mind. Indeed he is Moses. If we search the scriptures about him, from Exodus to the Book of Revelation, Moses is mentioned in some context (that is, in 786 verses in 31 books). So surely one should meditate on Moses, the guide and the great leader who led millions of people.

But we believe this to be true because it is in the Bible about Moses. But this could be fiction! For those who doubt that, let's study history first and prove it with accurate evidence.

1. The Leader.. Part-1 (Moses in History)  Part -1

2. The Leader.. Part-1 (Moses in History) (Moses in the Scriptures)  Part-2

3. The Leader.. Part-1 (Moses in History) (A traveler with no destination) Part-3

Part-1 Let's meditate on Moses in history.

Although there are many disagreements about the history of Moses after every event written about him in the Bible has been proven with accurate evidence, Bible scholars and archeologists agree that the exodus of the Israelites from Egypt definitely happened, and it also happened under Moses.

According to history, Moses lived between 1400 BC - 1201 BC.

Moses MOUZIZ, "Moses Rabbuni", is considered one of the most important religious leaders in world history.

Who and thinks what?

Judaism, Christianity, Islam, and the Baha'i faith claim that Moses was an important prophet of God and the founder of the monotheistic faith. Moses was called the leader and lawgiver of the Israelites because he received the Torah, the first five books of the Bible, "from God" and gave them to the people.

Bible: The story of Moses is told in the books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. He is mentioned throughout the Bible. Especially the most frequently cited prophet in the New Testament.

Islam: Moses also played an important role in the Qur'an. In the Qur'an, as in the Bible, they see Moses as a mediator of God's intentions for mankind.

The Egyptian historian Manetho: (3rd century BC) Tells the story of an Egyptian named Osarsiph. The teacher rebelled against the king of Egypt and led some people to another region. Also, he rejected the polytheism of the Egyptian religion and expressed the monotheistic belief that God is one. Also, the historian says, he believed in a God whose name no human could pronounce. Surely he is our Moses!

  • During the 19th Ramesside dynasty of Egypt, evidence supporting the 13th-century Exodus came to light.
  • An examination of Egyptian texts, artifacts, and archaeological sites dating back to the 13th century BC proves that everything said in the Bible is accurate.
  • For example, 3 place names found in the journey of the Israelites from Egypt were Biblical names from the Ramesside period (13th -11th centuries BC) Pithom, Ramasen, Msuf (the Red Sea or the Red Sea) Egyptian place names found in Egyptian texts.

The stone tablets of the Ten Commandments given to Moses on Mount Sinai:

Another valuable piece of evidence proving the history of Moses is the stone tablets of the 10 Commandments...are they still there? where are What actually happened?

1. When Moses saw the golden calf he threw down the first tablets of stone that he brought down from Mount Sinai. He went back to Mount Sinai at God's command. Then he was given the second set.

2. The second set of stone tablets, with the Ten Commandments engraved on them, were hidden in the Ark of the Covenant (Deut. 10:1,2 Heb. 8:4-5) (1 Samuel 3:3 and 1 Kings 8:11).

But it appears from these verses that when the temple was first captured in Jerusalem in 587 BC, the prophet Jeremiah and some men took the ark into the desert and buried it, and its contents remain hidden to this day (2 Maccabees 2:4) (2 Maccabees 2:5).

3. David Michaels, director of antiquities, said the stone was buried in the rubble for several centuries after the site where the tablets were kept was destroyed by the Romans between 400 and 600 AD.

It is an intact stone copy of the 10 commandments in the Bible that God wrote with his own finger.

4. Described as a "national treasure" of the Israelis, the stone was first unearthed in 1913 during excavations for a railroad station near Yavneh, Israel. "The workers who found it, not realizing its significance, sold it to a local Arab man. He installed the stone near the entrance to a room leading to his inner courtyard, with the inscription facing away," Michaels said.
  • Thirty years later, in 1943, the man's son sold the stone to municipal archaeologist Y. Kaplan.
  • "He immediately recognized that it was rare and so important that he entrusted Michaels, director of antiquities at Heritage, to find out more about it.
  • "They were taken to Johns Hopkins University to study the super-fine vitrification of the letters on the stone tablets. Some of the letters in the middle of the inscription are blurred - but still legible under the right lighting."

5. The significance of the stone tablet is a piece of evidence to the deep roots and enduring power of the commandments that underpin the world's three great religions (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam)," said David Michaels, Heritage's director of antiquities. Archaeologists agreed that God's finger burned the letters on both sides of the stone, proving the biblical Sinai event and that the laser didn't do that either.

6. The two-foot-square (0.18 square meter), 115-pound (52 kg) marble slab is inscribed in an early Hebrew script known as Samaritan. The stone tablet was kept in the Samaritan synagogue in the ancient city of Jabneel in Palestine for a long time. Now Michaels understood it to be Yavneh in modern Israel.

After recognizing the significance of the Arai Tablets, Kaplan, a prominent archaeologist, asked Yitzhak Ben-Zwini, then the second president of Israel, to help investigate its provenance. They then published an academic paper detailing the story of the stone tablet's discovery and key information about its historical context.

7. Kaplan eventually sold the stone to an American named Rabbi Saul Deutsch, who took it to the US and displayed it in his Living Torah Museum in Brooklyn, New York.

The Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) approved the carrying of the inscribed stone tablets, described as Israel's "national treasure", under a special permit issued in 2005. The first stone version inscribed with the 10 Commandments sold for $850,000.

  • Most historians say that there is no history of Moses. And without the history of Moses in the Bible, there would be no stone tablets of the historical 10 commandments. In short, the stone tablets confirm the story of Moses in the Bible.
  • This discovery is a great confirmation of the historical reliability of the biblical text. This incident also tells us that many people once lived in Iraq. Today, memories of some of these people still exist:
  • Jews, Christians, Mandaeans (late followers of John the Baptist), and Yazidis, ancient peoples, whose beliefs were Zoroastrianism, the pre-Islamic religion of Persia, early Christianity, and Judaism. All survivors of this race now face massacres, crucifixions, rape, and beheadings.
  • Archeological research has confirmed that the Bible is historically accurate.

Do we have the courage to speak against Moses about the law God gave him if we see such evidence in front of our eyes?

Mount Sinai:

The Bible says that God called Moses to Mount Sinai and talked with him for 40 days and nights.

In Exodus 19:18 it was all smoke because Jehovah came down on Mount Sinai with fire. Its smoke went up like the smoke of a furnace, and the whole mountain shook."

And do we see the basis of it now?

It is clearly visible. That Mount Sinai, see After investigation it was clear that it was burnt by fire.

Many things that have happened in history have merged in the womb of time. But our Lord is the Living One who cannot be erased by nature or time. Nothing he has done can be hidden... under any circumstances... never.

I started this blog to put before you all the events in the Bible with historical proof. I have written 10 articles till now. Starting with Noah's ark we come to Moses. If you take each topic and study the Bible and history, you will find many pieces of evidence that will surprise you with joy. Let us meditate on all of them one by one.

As I read these, I hope that you will be strengthened in the faith as well.

Here is a more valuable testimony than the testimony of history. It is us. No matter what this evidence shows, we are ever held captive by our Father's love. Salutations to his love.

We have learned about Moses in history, and I will meet again as I meditate on Moses in the scriptures.

May God be with you.

Why Did It Happen?

Dear Friends, May the Spirit of the Father who raised Christ our Lord from the dead be with us! Amen!   I always wondered why did it happen?...
